2

Data Processing

The glove transmits sensor data to the mobile app via Bluetooth, where AI algorithms analyze and recognize the specific gestures.

Step 2: Data Processing
3

Translation & Output

The system translates gestures into Arabic text and speech output, while the 3D avatar demonstrates the gesture for verification.

Step 3: Translation & Output

Mobile App Experience

Our companion mobile application provides an intuitive interface for real-time sign language translation and learning.

  • Real-time gesture recognition and translation
  • Interactive 3D avatar for gesture visualization
  • Arabic text and speech output
  • Gesture history and learning progress tracking
  • Community features and gesture sharing

The Challenge & Our Impact

Breaking communication barriers and building an inclusive society in line with Global and National Visions

The Communication Barrier

For the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community in the Arab world, daily communication is a profound challenge. The inability to hear and speak often leads to social isolation, educational exclusion, and workplace discrimination. This communication gap isn't just a personal difficulty; it's a systemic barrier that prevents full participation in society, violating the fundamental principles of human rights and social justice.

Despite global recognition of the importance of inclusive education, systems often lack the specialized resources and trained personnel needed for effective integration. Assistive Technology (AT), especially when powered by Artificial Intelligence, has emerged as a revolutionary force in bridging this gap, enhancing independence, communication, and social inclusion for people with disabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our current progress and technology

When will SignConnect be available?

We are currently in the Research & Development (R&D) phase. Our focus right now is on refining the hardware accuracy and software integration. Join our waitlist to be notified about future pilot testing opportunities.

Which sign languages are supported?

Our primary focus is optimizing the system for Arabic Sign Language (ArSL). While the technology is adaptable, we are prioritizing accurate ArSL translation before expanding to other dialects or languages.

Why use a glove instead of a camera?

Camera-based apps often fail in low light or complex backgrounds. Our sensor-based glove works in any environment (even in the dark), offers higher privacy, and captures precise finger movements that cameras might miss.

Is the glove comfortable for daily use?

Ergonomics is a top priority. We are designing the glove using lightweight, breathable materials and flexible electronic sensors to ensure it feels natural and comfortable for extended periods of wear.

Does it require an internet connection?

The current prototype utilizes cloud processing for maximum accuracy. However, we are actively working on an edge-computing solution to allow essential features to work offline in future iterations.

Can I help test the device?

Absolutely! We value community feedback immensely. If you are a member of the Deaf community or represent an organization, please use the "Share Opinion" button to get in touch with us.

Share Your Opinion, Make Your impact
